Diwali

On this very day

Our diyas are lined in an array

And with many a story

We proclaim the victory

Of good over evil

So that we may bury forever the devil

Within each and everyone of us

And we'll bring sweetness

In the lives of everyone we meet

With our sweet dishes, forever sweet.

Christmas

We believe in our Christ

And follow the teaching

In our lives with effects far-reaching

Those were laid down by him

For centuries before

And was passed down to us

In a steady stream

And so we have Christmas

The festival for Jesus

Born to lead many a people

And many in mass.
